CoreAll at OTC2017

CoreAll was present at the Offshore Technology Conference i Houston, TX, on 1-4 May. Innovation Norway graciously invited CoreAll to be part of the Norwegian Pavillion's Innovation Park, a hub for showcasing new and innovative technology companies from Norway.

Second pilot test in Norway

March 23, 2017

​The second pilot test of the Intelligent Coring System has been successfully completed at Xrig in Ålgård, Norway. Featuring a brand new electronics package by MSB Electronics, the system now provides Logging While Coring capabilities with Gamma Ray and Resistivity measurements, in addition to downhole diagnostics. The electronics, data transmission to surface, and surface decoding proved 100% functional throughout the test runs.

New R&D grant from DEMO2000

​The Research Council of Norway has awarded CoreAll a new, 2.4 MNOK grant for continued development and testing of the Intelligent Coring System. The DEMO2000 program aims to ensure long-term competitiveness in the oil and gas business and profitable development of the petroleum resources on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Pilot testing in Norway

​CoreAll recently finished the second pilot test of the Intelligent Coring System prototype. The test was done in a shallow test well at X-Rig in Ålgård, Norway, with very favourable results. Many of the central challenges in the development have now been solved.

First field test of the Intelligent Coring System

​CoreAll has completed the first field test of prototype Intelligent Coring System. The test was done in a shallow test well in Svidanov, Czech Republic, in co-operation with Dutch company Huisman Well Technology. Additional field tests are planned for the coming months.

On May 4-7, CoreAll attended the 2015 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, TX. CoreAll was one of only 9 startup companies offered a place in the Innovation Park at Innovation Norway's pavilion. "CoreAll appreciates the opportunity provided by Innovation Norway," says CoreAll Program Director, Alf Berle. "The Norwegian pavilion has a level of professionalism that would otherwise be unattainable for small companies. It represents a golden chance to showcase innovative technology, allowing early exposure to a range of clients."

Substantial grant from Innovation Norway

Innovation Norway has awarded CoreAll a substantial, NOK 5.6 MM grant for research and development on the Intelligent Coring System. The grant is part of an IFU-program (Industrial Research and Development) with E&P company Lundin Norge as the industry partner.

Statoil Technology Invest hosted the Venture Showcase at Statoil's Business Center in Stavanger, Norway, in collaboration with Oiltech. As one of several innovative startups at this invitation-only event, CoreAll presented the Intelligent Coring System technology to a number of interested technology venture companies.

Lundin increases support to ICS project

Exploration & Production company Lundin Norway has confirmed a 50% increase in its support of the Intelligent Coring System development project. Having been a major contributor to the project from the start, Lundin's decision shows a strong commitment to the completion of this new exploration technology. Contract signed with Aarbakke Innovation

CoreAll has signed a contract with Norwegian company Aarbakke Innovation for design engineering and testing of technology for CoreAll's Core Removal System (CRS). Based in Bryne outside Stavanger, Norway, Aarbakke Innovation is is an independent engineering company specializing in creative solutions for the oil and gas industry. The company is a dynamic offspring from traditional manufacturing firm Aarbakke, founded on the principles of innovation and entrepreneurialism.

CoreAll was one of 12 companies presenting technological innovations for the London Petrophysical Society. The event, hosted at the historical Geological Society at Burlington House in London, UK, attracted approximately 120 professionals from the oil and gas industry and academia.

Demo 2000 project grant

The Research Council of Norway has awarded CoreAll a large grant for development and field testing of the CoreAll Intelligent Coring System (ICS), including the Measurement While Coring system (MWC). "This grant is immensely important for our prototype development project and an confirmation of the importance of our innovation," says CoreAll CEO, Per Erik Berger.

Contract signed with research institute Teknova

August 20, 2014

CoreAll has signed a contract with independent research institute Teknova, in Kristiansand, Norway. The institute has more than 20 highly skilled researcher on staff and strong ties to the international research community. Teknova will perform research into resistivity measurement methods and numerical modeling for CoreAll's Measurement While Coring (MWC) technology.

Nominated for ONS2014 Innovation Award

The Offshore North Sea conference and exhibition announced that CoreAll is one of the nominees for the 2014 SME Innovation Award at ONS2014, 25-28 August. The award was established in 2004 to ensure that small and medium-sized enterprises are given a chance to highlight their new developments. Former winners include Total Catcher, Tomax and Cubility.

CoreAll has signed a contract with German company MSB Electronic GmbH for the development of electronic hardware, firmware and software for CoreAll's Intelligent Coring System. MSB Electronic is based in Hannover, Germany, and has a long track record of developing robust electronics solutions for demanding environments.

Program Director hired

Alf Berle has been signed on as CoreAll's new Program Director for the development of the Intelligent Coring System. Alf holds an MSc degree in Petroleum Technology and was formerly responsible for the geosteering segment of international oil service giant Baker Hughes' operations in Norway. He is presently living Silicon Valley with his wife and 3 children.

Concept study completed

CoreAll and technology partner MICON GmbH has completed a detailed concept investigation study of CoreAll's Intelligent Coring System (ICS), financially supported by Innovation Norway, the Research Council of Norway, Vest Næringsråd, and Lundin Norge AS. The study confirms the technical feasibility of the ICS development project.

CoreAll enters contract with MICON, Germany

CoreAll has signed a contract with MICON GmbH & Co. KG, located in Nienhagen, Lower Saxony, Germany, for participation in a concept investigation study. MICON provides technology and services for mining, tunnelling, water well, geothermal and petroleum directional and core drilling. Through more than five decades, the company has built considerable in-house competence within design, construction, engineering, production and operation of complete coring systems and Measurement While Drilling (MWD) systems.
